Hermann Delago has become an internationally renowned Austrian composer, arranger, conductor and musician living in the heart of the Tyrol region of the Alps. Since his first visit to Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Indonesia in 1997, he has fallen in love with the traditional local music, the people and also the region.
Delago presented his unfinished "Bläserquintett" to the Annapolis Brass Quintet in 1979 (before he was known as a composer) while the quintet was conducting master classes for brass students in Austria at the Innsbruck Music Conservatory.
This recording of "Bläserquintett" (still unfinished) is from an informal outdoor performance by the Annapolis Brass Quintet at Artpark on July 31, 1981.
