  1. Five Miniatures (1949) for brass quintet   (2 trumpets, 2 horns, and trombone)
  2. Dirge for brass quartet (1956)
  3. Serenade for Brass (1956) for brass ensemble (3 tpt, 4 hn, 3 trom, tuba) 
  4. Profiles in Brass (1974) 
  5. Evanescence​ (1980) was written for the 20th anniversary of the American Brass Quintet.  The ABQ performed the NY premiere of Evanescence at Carnegie Recital Hall on November 9, 1981.*
  6. Annapolis Suite (1982) was commissioned by the Brass Chamber Music Society of Annapolis.  The Annapolis Brass Quintet and harpist Heidi Lehwalder performed the world premiere of Annapolis Suite at Kennedy Center Terrace Theatre on March 23, 1983.*
  7. Fanfare in Five (1984) for brass sextet (3 trumpets and 3 trombones) 
  8. Angel Voices (1989)​ for 4 trumpets, 4 horns, 4 trombones, euphonium, tuba), timpani and organ
